Public Art by Adriana La Artista

In 2025, Adriana participated in a live painting at the OPACS (Oxnard Performing Arts Center) Michelada Fest in Oxnard, California, celebrating culture and creativity through community-driven art. The piece was later sold as part of a live auction. Her experience highlighted the significance of accessible public murals in shared spaces and reflected Adriana’s ongoing commitment to supporting public art initiatives in Oxnard and throughout Southern California.

Located at Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara, the public mural “Nurture Our Mother” spans an impressive 70 feet wide and 40 feet tall, situated prominently behind the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB). Created by Adriana Arriaga and Claudia Borfiga in collaboration with the museum for Earth Day 2022, this community-driven art piece celebrates environmental stewardship and the vital connection between people and the planet. Through bold color, symbolism, and live painting, “Nurture Our Mother” invites viewers to ponder their role in protecting the Earth while enriching Santa Barbara’s vibrant public art scene.
