Located at Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara, “Nurture Our Mother” is a large-scale public mural measuring 70 feet wide and 40 feet tall, prominently featured behind the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB). Designed by Adriana Arriaga and Claudia Borfiga in partnership with the museum for Earth Day 2022, the mural celebrates environmental stewardship, community, and the connection between people and the planet. Through bold color, symbolism, and collaborative artistry, “Nurture Our Mother” invites viewers to reflect on their role in protecting the Earth while enriching Santa Barbara’s vibrant public art scene.
